One skirt, infinite ways
It’s always fun – and super practical – to come up with as many outfits as possible with safe (Read: styled basics not basically boring), can’t-live-without separates. Camilla and Marc’s jersey skirt is sultry without being too risqué for an office environment, yet its classic shape complements a show-stealing evening top. We love the embellished zip detail and yes, the fact that it’s black – it might look like a tricky style to pull off but because of its colour and fit it’s guaranteed to flatter all shapes and sizes.
For work, adding a delicate piece such as Jaeger’s embroidered jacket along with a simple black top creates a perfect contrast. The skirt is sexily fitted and the jacket has a more romantic feel, but both items together create a stylish-yet-professional attitude. Add some shoes with an office-friendly heel and you’re set to go.
For a casual-but-cool weekend, this skirt is begging for a leather jacket – if it’s cropped, even better. A long tee-shirt or a vest with a worn feel, like T by Alexander Wang’s grey vest, looks perfect tucked in. We think heels go best with this style of skirt – but why not try trainer heels? They’re a trendy alternative to your average weekend shoes, and not as hard to walk in as your typical courts.
If you’re taking it on a night out, don’t be afraid to think body-con: wear a minimal fitted top for maximum impact. If you want to keep your outfit monochrome, add a splash of colour and quirkiness with Lulu Guinness’s iconic lip clutch, or some colourful heels.
So here’s another recipe for wardrobe success – black skirt, anyone?

By plane, train or auto mobile
Have you ever planned a grand holiday and after what feels like days of travel and hauling around your luggage you finally arrive in paradise only to feel like you need to take an hour long bath? It seems that travel makes you feel tired, uncomfortable and dirty, but it doesn’t have to be this way. Many new styles are making it easy to look your best and arrive refreshed and radiant even after the longest of journeys.

Comfort does not have to mean sacrificing style. We suggest you choose soft, breathable fabrics and loose fitting silhouettes to give yourself the maximum amount of comfort. This season you are a lucky jet-setter because flattering draping and rich fabrics are making their way down all of the runways.
If you want to wear a trouser we think the chic harem is the way to go. Pair it with a simple, and oh-so-soft, tank and a some stable lace up heels and you will be ready for a trip halfway around the world.
Not travelling to a tropical island? To stay warm a legging and tunic are perfect. For the tunic a relaxed fit through the waist and sleeves mixed with a flattering V-neckline will make you look put together while not feeling confined or restricted by your top. A pair of boots will not only keep you warm but the flat bottoms will make your walking travels a breeze.
And if you want to arrive in a skirt, the tulip cut is perfect. This fit will give you room to move about but it will also lie well while sitting and resist wrinkles after your trip. We love this black tulip skirt paired with a rich orange coloured tank and a pair of gorgeous gladiator wedges.
With basic travel pieces that are both stylish and easy, you will arrive feeling refreshed while being the envy of other passengers.

1 jacket, 3 ways
Oh, can a little jacket go a long way! It’s time to look for a jacket that works for anything and everything, and that can make (not break) an outfit. We suspect this jacket by See By Chloé is just the answer.
First we had to find the right colour. The fact that our pick is grey makes it less obvious than black and more practical than white – plus it’s a smart addition to any hue. It’s made of jersey, which gives it a relaxed feel, whilst the cut makes it smart enough for the office. So why not team it with a silk top and fitted skirt to show you mean business?
If you’re opting for a night on the town, choose either a figure hugging dress or a delicate, loose fit – it all depends whether you see yourself as a Dita or an Alexa. Because this type of jacket is slightly boyish it toughens up your look, contrasting perfectly with both style options. Just add some statement jewellery and killer heels.
But let’s face it: a jacket and jeans are a match made in heaven. For an off-duty yet effortlessly cool look, all you need are some boyfriend jeans, a casual top and a comfortable pair of flats.
Put a structured jacket at the top of your wish list and let it do its magic – your wardrobe will thank you!
