Brian Reyes at Oxygen Boutique
Returning to the world of spring/summer 10–sometimes, it’s nice to stay in-season–we were busy clicking away through LynkU’s cocktail dress selection when we discovered this little gem from Brian Reye’s spring runway lineup. Reyes has been mixing elements of nature through the last several collections, and the result is anything but obvious. Avoiding literal translations, the designer’s thought process runs through the when, where, why and what concerning each piece of inspiration. Abstract to say the least. This angle suits the urban city bunch just fine–uptown chic, with a little downtown flavour to keep things fun.
Fortunately for us, LynkU has teamed up with Oxygen Boutique for a special 20% offer when you type in the promo code: OXYLYNK20. That saucy Brian Reyes’ number looks like it’s getting a bit closer to check out!
Reyes was allegedly inspired by trees for his autumn/winter showing in New York. We love the look of this line, nothing forced or one-note to mention. Naturally any overt tree references were absent in the clothes, though clean, long lines dominated much of the collection. Sinuous prints wove around a cropped coat like rings of a large oak, whilst several bronze numbers looked to be a glossier option to bark. But that was it. We adored a teal knit dress and also a sparkly silver sweater with granite-coloured shorts. With a defined style and a fresh perspective, Reyes is one to keep your eyes on.

Outnet deals that shine
What is better than a little shine for a night out on the town? A little shine at a huge discount. Outnet has spoiled us all yet again with fantastic sales on the glittering frocks, jewellery, shoes and bags.
Our favourites for this week included a Preen sequin dress with an asymmetric cut. Featuring a drape neck made of silk and sequins, this little black dress sparkles at less than half of its original price. Pair it with Oscar de la Renta’s nappa metallic platforms. A light gold cut-out sandal, these shoes will glimmer under the hemline of any dress and, the best thing about them may be the price tag at 60% off.
Take these sales as the perfect opportunity to stock up on essentials. Gryphon has put a new twist on the classic pea coat with a shrunken patten design- a glossy piece that will add shine to any ensemble. Other must haves include Rick Owen’s gorgeous woven silk blend skirt in both grey and black. These pretty satin bowed shirts will shock and excite you at 75-80% off, depending in the colour.
Try gloss and glam styles with a pop of colour; Robert Rodriguez’s floating hem satin skirt is perfect. With a glossy maroon tie and silky silver detail this gorgeous skirt is a real find at 60% off. And to hold all your necessities, Halton’s foxy clutch in pink is both stylish and reasonable at a price 65% off the original tag.
And not to fret, accessories are a part of the savings too. The top picks included Kenneth Jay Lanes crystal-embellished oxidized cuff and gold plated pear necklace with crystal detailing. And even if the days are grey and overcast, no one can resist Proenza Schouler’s chic shades with silver-toned side plaques.
Whichever you choose, Outnet is ensuring that all will sparkle with these fantastic discounts. Shop these looks and more now.

Bag these deals
The Outnet team has devised a new way to tempt us away from our pretty pence. Handbags. Could this be any more unfair? After all, you can never have enough bags. Even scarier, isn’t it just too easy to justify another purchase? Whilst we’re not quite sure what the occasion is prompting this latest sale, we’ll take it.From Alexander McQueen to Marc Jacobs and everyone in between, Outnet is offering some truly impressive inventory at seriously low prices. For as low as £48, for a pastel satin Vanessa Bruno bag, you can get your hands on a new bag just in time for…spring (sounds about right). The stock is neatly divided into categories, which makes shopping for an iconic style or a party clutch so simple with just a click. Outnet asked me to pick my favourite of the bunch (oh, the decisions), so after much deliberation, I stuck with Mr. Jacobs’ timeless leather bag. I selected the white option below, but the tan and black leather were just too good to skip on this post. Check out theOutnet.com’s Facebook page to see other bloggers picks.
The reason behind the selection: “This bag is classic and sophisticated, and perfect for day-to-day wear. I prefer a versatile city bag to complement whatever outfit I’m wearing, and this one would work in winter or spring. I love the across-the-body option, and gold hardware on white leather. The bag is big enough but not bulky, and the separate pockets would be good for organising everything I usually carry around town.”There are many bags to choose from, so take your pick!

My London Fashion Week wardrobe
We’ve come across an appropriate and especially supportive shopping promotion…that surprisingly has nothing to do with Valentine’s Day. No, this offer is all about the fashion. High-fashion, that is…the calibre of goods on show at London Fashion Week. My-Wardrobe always seems ahead of the trend when it comes to Deals We Love, and this promotion is no different.
In honour of the immensely creative pool of talent in the UK (we wouldn’t even necessarily call this an opinion anymore), My-Wardrobe will be offering shoppers 15% off all items by British designers showing at LFW this month. The promo code, aptly LONDONFW, is valid until the end of February, on designers including Vivienne Westwood, Alexander McQueen and Twenty8Twelve. From dresses to accessories, shop My-Wardobe’s quickly, because stock is sure to sell out in time to dress all the fashion darlings headed to LFW next week.

Well, we can’t exactly promise you that, but we can point you in the direction of Marc Jacobs spring 2009 sale on the Outnet. Jacobs’ Skittles-coloured designs are the perfect antidote to grey sky. We gave you a bit of peak into the sale yesterday, but after viewing we’ve decided the stock–and the prices–warrant another reminder. Visit the Outnet to snatch up these amazing steals!

Will you be My-Valentine?
My-Wardrobe is giving shoppers a helping hand–and a little treat–for cupid’s holiday. Shhhh….keep the grumbling to a minimum…we’ve got everyone covered, whether you’re partnered up, or flying solo this season, the online boutique has just the thoughtful pressies you need. And you can receive an extra bonus in the form of free shipping on all standard UK orders on shoes, bags and accessories (all of our favourite goodies) until 14 February with the code: FREELOVE.
Because our hearts don’t come cheap, we’ve selected the very sweetest rosy treats above. Pucker- up, we’ve had our eyes –and hearts- on those Lulu Guinness bags since autumn, and now its just a matter of choosing between pink and red. Decisions, decisions. Lucy Hutchings delicate drop earrings are chic and sophisticated. Wear with upswept hair and a sexy dress for V-day. And if you need a little holiday humour to cheer you up, what better way to accessorise the blues away than with a pair of Gold Lady Dragon slingbacks by Vivienne Westwood?
If you are shopping for your better half this holiday, check out my-wardrobe’s collection of smart menswear. We’d dress any guy in these cool grey and black outfit add-ons…it could be more like a Valentine makeover. Mulberry’s cross-body bag is our perfect pick, but this only fits if your guy is comfortable with the man-bag situation. This could be a present you purchase for him that has more use to you (read: best buy). A Burberry scarf is always a flawless bet, and D&G’s toiletry bag upgrades an old standard. And even if they do not realise it yet, accessories are a man’s best friend, that’s why Simon Carter’s rectagular watch and Person’s sharp aviators are top choices. Slip the Paul Smith cufflinks on our Valentine just as your stepping out for dinner to add a romantic touch.

Outrageous discounts
No under- £200/ £100 themes this week, just the best, highly discounted designer deals we could find for you to update your wardrobe. The Outnet never ceases to amaze/impress/ convince us that we just have to have that new cardigan/dress/ insert basically any piece of clothing or accessory here please. And this week is no different. Here are a few of our hand-picked finds that will fit quite nicely into this season’s trends.
In England, a trench is worth more than a new handbag (we thought this was shocking too when we first discovered it), it easily sees more light–or grey days to be accurate–than any other single piece of fashion we own. What brand is already at the tip of your tongue? Burberry’s our guess, synonymous with luxurious British apparel, this is one line that knows how to design a coat we love. Burberry Prorsum’s slick silvery trench is reduced by 65%, which means it’s easy to justify as a necessity.
A bold accessory is all it takes to brighten an outfit, and Alexander McQueen, the sartorial king of statement-making wardrobe pieces, has a lovely pair of awe-inspiring leggings now under £200, guaranteeing your legs get double-takes. Cavalli’s leopard print belt is also a fantastic option, wrapped around a silky knit dress or cinched at the waist of a fitted pencil skirt.
There’s nothing like a signature knit, great pair of heels and some sophisticated shorts to amp up your seasonal wardrobe. A comfy cardi is essential in any closet, and Tomas Maier’s light knit looks perfect for curling up in. And from autumn to spring, the ankle booty is fast becoming a style staple. We’ll stick to Narciso Rodriguez’s wide strap heel for all evening outings. Stella McCartney’s classic shorts are sure to get more wear as the weather gets warmer.
And where would we be without a playful party dress? We adore this floaty printed dress by Roberto Cavalli, it leaves us aching for Miami nights.

The sale to end all sales
We love high style even more when it is on sale. Net-A-Porter has just announced that on top of their after holiday sale, they are taking an additional twenty percent off all already reduced items. Brands like Paul & Joe, Alexander McQueen, Theory and Citizens of Humanity are seeing discounts of more than 70% off. Yes, you read that right, seventy percent! Some styles may be “so last season,” but would make great wardrobe staples. Plus, why not stock up on classic pieces and essentials, like that cocktail frock you have been eyeing, whilst the prices are low?
Our favourites? This Preen Line band dress, with an exposed zipper and asymmetrical ties– a bold party piece that feels even better with a discount. We love the Chloe lace up leather pumps which were part of the Autumn/Winter 09 line but would look great at the office or shopping around town. And how can you resist this gold Kenneth Jay Lane stud ring that is a great edgy edition to this season’s frilly feminine trends.
These prices will only last until January 31. We suggest you shop soon because with brands and styles as chic as Net-a-Porter offers, who knows when a sale this big will happen again!
