    Very often we’re all dressed up and ready to go only to be deterred by appropriate outerwear.  We can’t escape the cold climate, but we can accessorize accordingly.  No, we’re not going to offer up these mini-capes as a means to stay warm against the windy rain, but we will say a little capelet adds a lot of a glamour to your wardrobe.   Capelets are the accessory of the sartorial world– an embroidered/embellished/ feathered piece of fabric to secure sweetly around the shoulders.  There are plenty of options for day to evening, but some of our favourites are in a spread below.

    We absolutely adore All Saint’s black embroidered cape, dripping with shimmer, whilst Antonio Marras’ draped shrug would look lovely in the office or over an evening gown.  Topshop’s pretty pink feathered option is fun and chic and Very’s delicate capelet adds a touch of shine.  We’re not settled on the fur toss-up, but if you can’t get enough Fendi’s silver fox fur cape looks luxurious and warm.
