Party perfect dresses
We know you’re all gearing up for the final celebratory bash of the holiday season tonight, so we’ve selected some flirty frocks to accessorise your cocktails, of course. After all, a girls gotta shine admist the fireworks and lights. There’s something for every shape and price point, from Lipsy to Lanvin, in a rainbow of colours–with not an LBD in sight!
Whether you’re looking for something more demure like Donna Karan’s taffeta and jersey boatneck crimson dress, or shimmery like Rachel Gilbert’s embellished lavender gown, make sure you dance the night away in style. We adore the energetic prints on offer from autumn/winter 2009 — thinking winding flowers and abstract shapes– as well as beaded details. We love Lipsy’s bright blue sweetheart neck dress, or a punchy orange frock with an ornate neckline for dressing sans accessories. Make a statement in sharp shapes like Moschino’s fuchsia pink pressie.

Ring in the New Year
As chimes bid out the recession dimmed year that saw the end of Lacroix’s intricacies wouldn’t it be great to bring in the new year with a bit of razzle dazzle?
Well, Loree Rodkin’s exquisite gold rings inset with diamonds will certainly give your hands more than a new manicure to flaunt. The antique looking fleur de lis design is certainly a keeper that you could add to your collection of heirlooms, which may even be pricless one day.
For the spendrthrift-y who prefer something silvery, Ileana Makri’s white gold safety pin design is a timeless finger deco that you can wear to up your style quotient at work, or complete your party ensemble for a night out on the town, like New Year’s eve maybe?
Then of course there’s always the cocktail rings that can glam up any hand and any outfit, but if you want to add an urban edge to that style then Ringseclectic’s vintage inspired pieces are just the thing to add a trendy twist to your party ensemble .
Whether you want a discreet way to watch the clock or a pretty finger ornament to add that finishing touch to your new year’s eve outfit, it’s not too late to venture out into the sale induced pandemonia…but without actually going there of course, because you can shop these and more on LynkU.
Go on , ring in the new year in style!

Reach for the Stars
Christmas may be over, but that doesn’t mean that stars have to be cast aside till next year’s holiday season. In fact, it might be hard not to reach for them when designers have put out such a lavish spread of twinkling ornaments.
Dazzle up your evening look with Vivienne Westwood’s star earrings that are swish enough for any occasion. Slip these on with a plain coloured cocktail dress and matching stilletto peep toes and you’ve got yourself a chic new party ensemble. Whether you fancy the shimmer of aqua or a sparkle of rosé Westwood’s designs have got a coloured pair to please.
Even Patricia Nichols has spoiled us for choice by twisting different hues of silk with gold, for bracelets that make mix vintage with ‘mod’.
If you want your feet to feel like the lucky ones then Marc Jacobs’ charm bracelet ankle band flats are perfect. These black sandals will look great with your favourite pair of skinny jeans and a cowl neck knit. Put on a pair of these and you’re ready to host a casual house party or movie night in with the girls, in style.
For those of your who are tired of the shimmer and shine but still want your star Chloe has a classic black leather bag which will add that little extra to your everday outfit.
Whether its a starfish dancing against a backdrop of your lovely locks or a bracelet round your wrist there’s plenty of stars on lynkU to choose from so reach out for yours before the year is out.

Cocktail party
New Years Eve is tomorrow, and there are only two things we can be certain of: the night sky will be filled with celebratory fireworks and winter’s favourite fashions will be on display. You know what that means: lots of studding, mass amounts of shimmer, and a sheer number or two. We’ve compiled some pretty essential party favours for your New Years look. After all, we have to start off 2010 in style.
Cocktail soirees require their own accessories–there’s the costumey rings and over-sized baubles, dramatic headwear and of course a strappy heel is key. We’ve put together a blend of high-low luxe pieces–shop all on LynkU and enjoy the pre-party goodies!
And don’t forget…

And of course this…

Fly away with me

It seems like every year we’re trying to out-do/out-party/out-style our New Years Eve plans from the year before. And this year isn’t any different- we’ve had our bags packed for days (the hot sand and cool sea are a-callin’), and whilst we’re sure to give you plenty of holiday style tips and favourites to come–we figured every girl deserves some pretty travel accessories.
The passport covers above are the perfect way to keep you’re most valued travel essential, your I.D., safe whilst you’re skiing or island hopping or sipping a few foreign brews along the trail. Smythson, Radley and Urban Outfitters offer cute options to suit a range of budgets.
Simply adore this carry-on bag by Mulberry (£795) below. It’s gorgeous for a girl, but still neutral enough that your partner won’t mind carrying it either (mission accomplished!). This is one of those travel accessories that will endure.
Comfortable eye-masks are essential for any long haul flights, blocking out the random reading lights that seem to stay on all night long. You can colour coordinate these velvety smooth masks from Graham and Green (£12.95 each) to match your luggage or your outfit!
Aspinal’s pretty in pink makeup roll is sweet and sophisticated. Store your gloss, shadow and mascara neatly in separate compartments. This suede carry-along is ultra-luxe. We suggest one for the home as well.
We love Tory Burch’s across the body snake-print bag for here, there…and well, everywhere. Mum always warned us to watch out for sticky fingers in foreign cities, but we could never bring ourselves to wear the ever-dreaded fanny pack. Instead we’ll opt for the fashion-forward body-wrapping bags to keep our most precious possessions safe.Happy shopping and happy travels!

…If you please
Velvet has seen quite a resurgence this season, what with cropped jackets and high heels, gorgeous gowns and ruched gloves, but it is black velvet that is our very favourite for the holidays. Velvet used to be tricky too wear- too dressy? too old? too heavy?– but not these days. Black velvet feels very glamorous and mysterious. We’re talking Old Hollywood screen sirens with throaty drawls and waves of hair falling seductively over one eye here. Channel this as you step into a modern cut to make the rounds of the holiday party circuit between Christmas and New Years.
The dress above is K Karl Lagerfeld and stunning. Black velvet gets the vintage treatment with a delicate lace neckline. The cinched waistline is sophisticated and chic. You will only need minimal accessories to shine.
We simply adore this shrug from Debenham’s J by Jasper Conran collection. Understated and elegant, tie this over a bold colour or vibrant pattern.
Go monochromatic–and–fabric, with this velvet-silk fascinator from John Lewis (£25), a pretty party dress with mesh insert from Miss Selfridge (£45), and a pair of velvet booties from Neon Collective (£150).Shop these looks on LynkU.

Stocking stuffers
Forgive us for our lack of unison in this collage (must be one too many Christmas cookies…or more likely the Eggnog), but again we’re considering our last-minute shoppers and brainstorming stylish little gifts to squeeze into stockings. And because we have spent all our quid on weeks of holiday splurges (a few gifts for them, and a few more still for us, plus seasonal parties galore), each of these tiny treats ring in under £50.
Topshop has us covered in three arenas (huge surprise we know, we know): chunky knit palmwarmers, a shimmery cocktail ring, and a nubby tweed purse. These three certainly look more than their £8 and £20 respectively, but that’s for you to know and your friends/family not to find out.
Asos has a lovely pair of Fairisle print mittens–these crafty prints are everywhere for autumn and spring–for a tenner, whilst John Smedley rounds out the bundled trend with a camel coloured beret. And who doesn’t love a beret?
Jewellery is always appreciated whether it’s in a velvet box or hanging stocking, and we love Mirabelle’s Bola bangles and Graham and Green’s delicate dragonfly necklace.
Pretty in pink, Aspinal’s compact mirror is the perfect present for the girl-on-the-go, whilst a rose clip by Johnny Loves Rosie is ideal for ultra-femme friends.

Four days and counting
It’s crunch time friends. Christmas is rapidly approaching, and so here is our final gift wish list for the 2009 holiday season. These are for the near-and-dears. All products are under £200 (woo!) and all are stellar gifts. We seem to save shopping for our closest friends and family until the final days of the holiday season. It can be tough to pick gifts for coffee-chat colleagues and acquaintances, but sometimes it’s harder to find the right present to fit the person you watch TV with in your PJs. So here is a pseudo-tree like collage of especially gorgeous gifts for those who matter most. We’re feeling yellow gold this holiday season, especially Anedoti’s starburst cuff (£80) and Lucy Hutchings caged ring (£122). It’s no secret we’ve long been fans of Hutchings innovative designs, and we’ve decided to share our jewellery passion just for Christmas.
Mawi’s “classic” (read: Mawi’s modern version on classic design) jewel earrings, spiked with crystals, are party-perfect and have an heirloom feel (£105). For a more traditional approach try Gemshine’s rose pearl choker (£108). This multi-stranded necklace is elegant, yet a playful sister or thrifty friend might throw it on with shredded black lace and give it a fresh feel.
Of course you can’t go wrong with a bold clutch…well almost. A handbag is a girl’s best friend, so only gift one to the girl you know better than anyone. May we suggest DKNY’s stamped leather clutch (£125) or Aspinal’s violet Manhattan clutch (£250 originally, but £200 with LynkU’s promotional code). Sunglasses, like bags, are iffy, but with pricier presents we’re aiming for only the closest relationships and who doesn’t love a great pair of shades? For the retro-loving girl, try Chloe’s cream Tilia glasses (£180)– the 70’s inspired cat-eye shape is phenomenal.
The go-to accessories for Christmas–sumptuous knits, scarves and chic gloves– will work for all, but the finest threads are fit for your dearest friends. Missoni’s multi-coloured aqua scarf is cozy and bright for spring (£99), whilst Mark’s and Spencer’s vibrant ombre option is perfect for daily wear (£69). Lowie’s rose shawl is a favourite and comes in either black or white (£142). Lastly, a pair of leather biker gloves by Jas MB would suit the girl who likes to own the trends (£90).
Shop LynkU for these gift ideas.
